How to Add a Little Bit of Spice to Your Upcoming Challenge or Workshop

If you’re getting ready to host a challenge or workshop, you know the drill. There is a lot that goes into hosting these types of conversion events. Between marketing, content creation, developing challenge materials, you feel like your plate is full.

While you are trying to “check” the boxes and prepare for your launch, it can be difficult to remind yourself to add your own flare. I find this especially difficult if you are following a launch strategy to a T. You want to make sure you are doing things the right way, and I get it. But remember, your ideal clients are going to be attracted to YOU, not the strategy you use.

"Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun." - Mary Lou Cook

So, how are you going to break out of structure and strategy and add your own special touch to your challenge or workshop? Take some time to get creative and think outside-the-box as to what will both be memorable for your participants and help your challenge or workshop stand out.

1. Add a countdown video each day before your live video starts

This is such a fun and unique way to really amp up your registrants before you go LIVE each day. You can add in fun music, a photo of yourself, and a timer to let people know that you will be coming on soon! You could also include an intro video to introduce the challenge.

If you are hosting a challenge in a Facebook Group, this will also come in handy because once you go live members of your group get a notification. By alerting your registrants a few minutes ahead of a time with a 1-2 minute countdown video, they have some time to get settled and don't have to worry about missing out on any content. If you are the type of person that pauses your movie if you have to step away, imagine how your participants feel if they don't join your live video right away. I primarily use Canva to create these types of videos, but you can use any video editing software that will create a .mp3 file that you can stream.

2. Give active participants the chance to win giveaways and raffles

What better way to get people involved in your workshop than offering some freebies!? I recommend this as an incentive for registrants whom show up live each day or who complete assigned action work. While raffles and giveaways are fun, they also increase your registrants participation. You could offer things such as a free digital product, a complimentary coaching call with you, or access to your online course. I've even seen people go as far as to offer scholarships for high-ticket programs, which is truly amazing. Meaning, one lucky person who meets all of the criteria would be chosen to have all expenses covered in order to join your program.

3. Extend the challenge and offer bonus sessions

If you are feeling the fire of momentum and want to extend your 3-day challenge into a 5-day challenge, do IT! You could offer an additional session that could help your participants implement what they have learned over the last several days. You could also host an office hours which serves more as an open forum where you can answer questions participants may have. Your participants will be THRILLED to be able to have more time with you. This extra time truly is invaluable.
